Listening to Counsel.

Everyone needs counsel. No man knows it all. No one, no matter how knowledgeable, knows it all. There is no island called, 'All knowledgeable Island' , where some designated individuals live. Thus, humans live an interdependent life. It's in depending on each other that we find the zest for yet another day.

Many, especially the youths do not cherish wise counsel. They go with the mantra, 'live and let live'. 'Am gonna live my life to the fullest'. ' it's my life, not yours'. All channeled into negative behaviors. Alas, they regret.

The convex truth however is that, not everyone that can give good advice. It is your duty to dicepher whom you should lend your ears to and what counsel to follow.

Good counsel is what the 'C' Caution is to the driver on the highway, lest he drives himself to the 'land of the spirits'.

Sources of good counsel could be found in books, the television, internet, seminars (online/offline), in persons; the elders, religious leaders, professional counselors and the likes.

To run a purpose driven family cum life, you must avail yourself of wise counsel. Learn to listen more and speak less.

It takes the humble to draw from the well of good counsel.

 

It's your duty to identify those who have your interest at heart and go to them for counsel, when the road seems unclear. Learn to ask questions, and you wouldn't be missing on the path of life.
